Fee Brown @ Lunch - City Library From Paris cafes to Dublin bars, Nashville diners to Mexican fishing villages, Fee Brown has soaked up the world around her, notebook in hand, culminating in a collection of songs so vivid they play like a movie. Fee has a voice that carries both sweetness akin to Norah Jones and the grit of Lucinda Williams. Her debut album ‘the Devil Dressed Me’ has been described in Inpress magazine by writer Tony McMahon as “a listening experience that rewards repeat playings like the re-reading of a classic novel”. Her live performances promise no less. www.myspace.com/feebrown |

Shannon Bourne @ Night - City Library
Many of you will already be familiar with the talent that is Shannon Bourne - his singular in-demand guitar virtuosity has been adding an extra dimension to albums and performances for a number of significant Australian artists in recent years – check out: “Roarin’ Town” (Black Sorrows) or “King for a Day” (Chris Wilson).
In 2005 his first solo project ''Burn It Down'', was chosen the best blues and roots album for that year. With the release in 2009 of ''Dark Things'', Shannon feeling freer than ever, drew back the blinds to envisage an infinite horizon of sonic and emotional possibilities. |
