Exhibiting @ City Library City Library has a number of spaces available for artists to show their colours! They range from wall space in The Gallery @ City Library on Level 1, which is available as a hanging space and to project digital images, to display niches which are available for sculptural pieces or ephemera.
The Gallery @ City Library The Gallery @ City library is a vibrant space in the heart of Melbourne. A modern open plan area, featuring polished floorboards and balcony views. The Gallery is available to exhibit contemporary works in all media. The library recieves over 3,000 visitors per day.
Facilities 17 metres of continuous wall display space (approximately 3 metres tall) Fully adjustable track lighting with dimmers Data points are available for digital works
Cost $1750 for 4 weeks exhibition space which includes 400 DL brochures, line listing in Art Almanac and promotion on the Melbourne Library Service website and affiliate websites. A non-refundable deposit of $400 must be paid to secure a booking. All prices are inclusive of GST. Prices as at January 2008.

Glass Display Niches City library has 6 lockable display niches on the mezzanine and ground floor. The niches are approximately 50cm high by 30 wide by 30 deep. They are glass fronted, lockable and have their own light source. Perfect for small sculptural works, dioramas and back lit 'stained glass'.
Cost: Free Exhibitions are for a month, though this can be adapted to suit
